Q: Why do we pay first?

A: To better serve you, payments are handled by our cashiers in the front, so you don’t have to wait for our servers to present you the check or wait for change. Just take your time and enjoy your meal!

Q: Do you offer Take Outs?

A: Yes, you can order take outs online here, or call 1-877-32-CHENS. We also offer buffet to go.

Q: What are your prices?

A: Our Lunch is only $7.99, which includes beverages (excluding alcoholic and specitalty drinks). Dinner is only $11.99. Take out is also available at only $5 per container for lunch and $7 per container for dinner. For kids, it is only $0.65 x the age for lunch, and $0.95 x the age for dinner.

We also like to point out that our prices covers desserts and beverages (excluding alcohols or specialty drinks.)

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Q: What is Dim Sum?

A: A unique culinary tradition originated in Canton (Southern China), with bite-sized portions served in small steamer baskets or plates. Dim Sum usually involves a wide variety of light dishes served with tea. It includes dishes with seafood, meat, vegetables, desserts and fruit. In a traditional setting, Dim Sum is served by servers pushing carts all around the dining room with different dishes on each cart ready to be ordered by customers. Dim Sum literally means “a touch of heart”, meaning one can order to his/her heart’s content, a perfect cuisine to be served buffet style.

Q: What is Sushi?

A: Sushi is part of Japanese cuisine that is made of seasoned rice (with vinegar and seasonings), usually topped with fish (cooked or uncooked) and vegetables. There are various types of sushi. Maki (or rolls) is sushi served rolled up with rice and dried seaweed. Nigiri sushi is made with toppings laid on a clump of seasoned rice. And Chirashi sushi is served with variety of toppings scattered over a bowl of seasoned rice. Sushi is sometimes
misunderstood to be the raw fish by itself. In Japan, a slice of raw fish by itself is Sashimi.
Sushi that we server does not contain any raw fish/seafood.

Q: Are you affiliated with any other Chen's restaurants?

A: No, Chen is a common last name just like Smith. Chen's Buffet is independently owned and operated.

Q: I have food allergies. What can I eat at your restaurant?

A: We understand how important it is to know what you are eating when you have certain food allergy. Due to our many made-from-scratch menu items, secret recipes, and many different food suppliers, the challenge of us providing a detailed information regarding allergies is very difficult. Chen's Buffet cannot ensure that our menu items do not contain ingredients that might cause an allergic reaction. We regret that we do not have specific allengen information available. Please choose with caution.

Q: Do you offer a discount for people who is on a restricted diet that only allows consumption of very small portions.

A: It is important for our customers to understand that our pricing is based on a reasonably sized meal and not any specific quantity.

Q: Do you offer special pricing for senior citizens?

A: Senior Discount Cards are available to anyone 65 or older for only $1. The card will be good for the calendar year. The card entitles the owner to the Senior discount. It is 80 cents less than the regular adult price. Everyone who purchases a Senior Discount Card will also be entered in our weekly drawing for a free buffet.

Q: Does your price include gratuity?

A: Our prices do not include gratuity. Gratuities are not required, but sincerely appreciated by our servers.
